- Those continuing for the Parikrama will proceed for the first of the three day Parikrama. The trek starting point is called Tarboche or outer Asthapath. The first day of the ‘Kora’ or Parikrama is a gradual walk of about 6hrs with multitudes of other pilgrims chanting and praying.
- The trail leads the pilgrims through few ups and downs until they end the first day’s trek and set up camp at Diraphuk from where the most magnificent North face of Kailash is visible. This is the closest view one can get of Holy Mt.Kailash on the outer kora.
DAY 7
- Those returning to Delhi, will leave very early from Darchen, drive to Ali (3.5hrs) and take a flight to Lhasa (90mins flying time)

- Those doing the Parikrama will proceed for the second day of the Kora after an early morning breakfast. This day’s trek will lead everyone to a much higher side of the holy path, just beneath the holy Mt. Kailash. After a footbridge and a rocky trail leading upwards, one will find the peak of Mt. Kailash rise up on the right. This is the top edge of the glacial valet from where the Lha Chu or ‘Divine River’ flows.
- This day is no doubt the most arduous yet gratifying day of the pilgrimage. The climax of this holy journey is when one reaches the Dolma La Pass at 5700 mts or 18,000ft above sea level. Here pilgrims leave a memento of themselves and their loved ones- a lock of hair, tooth, clothes or even a photograph!
- After 30mins from Dolma La, everyone descends a steep path to the valley below from where ‘Gauri Kund’ is visible. The only way down is a steep staircase which requires jumping from boulder to boulder to reach the valley floor.
- From the valley floor, it is still about 5hrs to the day’s destination without any shelter in between. The path now becomes pleasant (weather permitting) strewn with grassy fields and clear brooks, merging with another valley before reaching Zuthulphuk, the Miracle Cave of Milarepa.

- The winding gradual tracks finally end the Holy Pilgrimage(around 4-5hrs)
- At the end of the trek, eco friendly buses will be waiting to drive everyone to Darchen (90mins)
